This week's prompt was "Sign of the Times". What is something common today, that we expect to be gone, obsolete or rare in the future. For example nowadays we no longer frequently see corded phones or vinyl records (unless you're at my house... then there are plenty of those!)
I chose antibiotics. While I don't think they will truly be gone in the next 10-20 years, their effectiveness is quickly being outpaced by bacterial resistance. We have over-used antibiotics for far too many years. Many people who are prescribed them don't finish the full course. Lastly, we are developing fewer and fewer new antibiotics. It's a scary thought for the future.
