This is my first post for the new blog circle I've joined. Every month we will all post photos that illustrate where we live and then link to another member of the circle at the end of the post. If you follow the links all the way around, you will eventually end up back where you started. There are a lot of other talented photographers in the group so please give their blogs a look!
I live in Olympia, WA. It's the Capitol of Washington State and a wonderful place to raise a family. We've lived here for 3 and a half years, and I have no plans to leave. Besides being surrounded by gorgeous natural features, Olympia is quirky (like most PNW towns tend to be.) As an example of this I decided to photograph a fairly unique event held downtown every year. "Tango at the Fountain" occurs each summer here. Olympians gather at the fountain in Heritage park and tango dance in the fountain until the sun goes down. Of course, after the festivities I couldn't resist walking across the street to get a shot of the capitol building all lit up and reflecting in Capitol Lake.

I hope you enjoyed seeing a little piece of what makes Olympia special. Now make sure to head over to Danielle Morhaus's blog to see what life is like in her part of the world!
