Ahhh, street photography. I have a love hate relationship with you. I always find myself drawn to the genre, and yet I am so incredibly shy and self-conscious taking my camera out in public. Add in the idea of photographing strangers and I'm pretty well paralyzed by fear. I gave it my best try though. I think I'm going to make a point of attempting some form of street photography at least once a month. The only way I'm going to get past my mental roadblock is to just keep pushing. Here's a few shots I managed to grab this week. The first one was my submission for the project 52 since I felt it captured the genre better than some of the others, even though I liked a few of the others more.
Week 16 already?? This year is flying by! I'm rejoining the ClickinMom's Blog Circle this week, so be sure to follow the link at the bottom! Ahhh, street photography. The first one was my submission for the project 52 since I felt it captured the genre better than some of the others, even though I liked a few of the others more. Besides getting a chance to walk around and capture some images of my city on a nice Spring day, I also got to share it with my son. He's been taking more of an interest in photography lately. He has inherited my old D50 DSLR and a zoom lens. Everywhere we went that day, we were consistently met with positive comments about how cool it was that he was out taking pictures with me. Here's a shot of my budding little photographer finding something interesting in one of the alleys downtown.

You did fantastic! I love how he's got his shoes off in the photo you submitted. The rest of the photos inspires me to go on a photo walk in my town and capture details like you did.
